I walked into town today to get some coffee and a salad, completely forgetting that fastnach is this weekend. Pretty quickly, I cursed myself for not having brought my camera, but it's ok because it should keep going for another couple of days.
Mostly, it's rag-tag groups of people in scary matching outfits doing the marching band bit with the smell of glühwein and sweets in the air.

is related to carnival? there were some pix in the paper the other day of some pretty crazy carnival parade floats from germany. that's why I ask.
